Biography |
| It seems as though I have always been on the move, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. I have lived in a variety of places including Ventura, Santa Barbara, Pollock Pines, Placerville, the Kings River Canyon, and Ghana. After traveling in Costa Rica, I attended college at UC Santa Cruz. Spending several months in West Africa during my junior year was a very influential and life changing movement. After traveling in Chile, graduating from UC Santa Cruz, and spending a summer following music, I moved to Donner Summit. I am now living on Donner Lake.
Through the years I have found traveling and music to be my most perpetual and influential inspirations. I am lucky to have experienced a variety of live shows mostly in California. In the last couple years I have also had the amazing opportunity to travel to new places for live music and to vend my artwork at large outdoor music and art fairs. A few milestones in my travels include the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival in 2005 and Bonnaroo Music Festival in Manchester, Tennessee in 2006.
I also draw inspiration from more traditional systems, including much time spent in museums, galleries, and art history classes. A couple short trips to New York City have been both overwhelming and artfully refreshing. Each of my ventures to Europe always remind me of the strong roots of western art, as well as the vast and colorful infinity of possibility in the future of art making.
